Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Néonoé

Categories:Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s Néonoé is, without a doubt, a familiar one. For one, it’s an elevated twist of the ever-iconic Noé bag that has been around since 1932. Two, you might have actually seen the Néonoé out and about on the streets in the past couple of months, as it was released back in March as part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2017 collection.

With a Monogram Canvas body, the Néonoé comes in two mainstay colours (actually more like a trim) in Coquelicot and Noir that jazz up its otherwise mundane body. Then there are the seasonal hues, like Rose Poudre and Yellow that you’ll also find on the bag’s inner lining and strap that was released for SS17.

An interesting bag thanks to its adjustable strap that allows you to wear it in 3 different ways, simply adjust the length via its snap buttons. Move it to its longest and you can carry it across your body, or shorten it up for a completely different look in the form of a shoulder sling/tote. And because the strap is detachable, you can also choose from a wide array of shoulder straps Louis Vuitton sells separately for a totally different look.

Available in a single size, the 26 cm by 22 cm fits just about everything you need for a day out. An easy-to-reach revamped drawstring closure, which comes in the same colour as the bag’s strap and inner microfibre lining, completes the look. Priced at SGD1910, the bags might be currently sold out, but there’s no harm heading down to the boutiques to leave your name on the wait list as you can be sure this good-looking number will be restocked before you know it.

Louis Vuitton F/W17 Shiny Epi Pochette Métis

Categories:Louis Vuitton

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But if you want to sell more of the same thing, you come up with more variations, of course. Yes, I’m talking about Louis Vuitton’s now iconic (and much-loved) Pochette Métis, first launched in 2013 in Monogram Canvas and now reinterpreted by Nicolas Ghesquiere for the F/W17 collection. Having since been launched in Monogram Reverse, Monogram Infrarouge and even Monogram Empreinteleather, this season you’ll find it in Shiny Epi, which is basically patent Epileather.

What’s also new is its size, with the Shiny Epi Pochette Métis coming in Mini. Measuring 20 cm by 14 cm by 6 cm, it’s definitely smaller than the MM, with the added hanging key holder chain a new feature. Available in Navy (matched with Monogram Reverse) and Orange (matched with Monogram Canvas), you can carry it via its top handle or wear it across the body by using the long chain sling.

But if Shiny Epi ain’t your thing, know that the Pochette Métis will come in Denim Epi (MM size), in florals printed on Epi leather in both sizes and even one that comes with brogue detailing on the front flap of the bag. In other words, as and when more pics (and prices) come in, there’ll be more updates soon enough so stay tuned.

Elie Saab Couture Fall 2017 Collection at Haute Couture PFW

Elie Saab’s work is the perfect example of the words haute couture. He is the designer that doesn’t enjoy working on daywear but instead creates dresses that have the “wow” factor and leave everyone breathless. For his Couture Fall 2017 Collection, the designer got inspired by the medieval times and warrior queens. Even his show notes carried the same message: “fallen kings, defeated by a fearless and heroic sisterhood . . . bright and brave warrior queens they were, are, and forever will be.”

Saab presented another magical show titled “”A Tale of Fallen Kings”. Apparently, this astonishing collection was inspired by the mega-popular HBO show “Game of Thrones”. According to the official Instagram of the brand  “The haute couture collection captures the opulence and wild beauty of medieval times, and translate it into fiercely elegant feminine silhouettes.”.

Most of the sixty looks include floor-length glamorous dresses, with an exception of a few. Elie showed only a couple of looks that featured perfectly tailored trousers and heavily embellished jackets with a train.

The gowns are ultimately gorgeous, elegant and sparkling. You can find one for any glamorous occasion, starting from red carpets, galas, and weddings. Many of the dresses are accompanied by long, sumptuous capes. The colors vary from black, blue, and emerald, to bright and vivid colors such as red, cobalt blue, cream, baby blue, and white.

The Lebanese couturier loves to play with different fabrics. The collection features various fabrics, including tulle, velvet, satin, fabrics with rich embroideries and embellishments, amazing patterns and sequins. The embellishment is done in many ways and patterns, but the color that is most prominent is the gold one. On the other hand, the heavy materials in rich dark colors give a dark, but very enchanting vibe to the Fall Couture 2017 Collection.

Saab accessorized his medieval queens with embellished headbands. According to the hairstylist Orlando Pita, the looks were inspired by the cult series  “Game of Thrones”. The models flaunted loose waves and braids that represent femininity, and headbands as crowns that represent power. The makeup was gentle, with golden, bronze, pink and yellow tones, that made the models look just like real goddesses.

Elie Saab found the perfect way to incorporate the medieval vibe into these contemporary gowns that everyone dreams of. The cuts that belong to the previous century are updated with his recognizable details, transforming the models into modern strong queens.

Purse Forum Roundup 7

Categories:Other Brands

Happy July, fashion lovers! We are happy to be back again for another peek into the busy and fabulous halls of the PurseForum. This week, Balenciaga tops the list, followed by Givenchy, and we close up with some pops of splendid color from Chanel!

Balenciaga fans wrapped up the May/June purchases thread in fine style this week, and we found quite a few nice bags to share with you. Longtime member and Balenciaga goddess Ceejay updated us on her stunning black metal plate bag. This is not a new purchase for Ceejay, but it’s a bag that has been on our members’ minds, and we all got a first hand review of how it holds up. Arielgal shared this Rose Bon Bon, which looks to be a nice choice for summer and well into fall, too!

Our July/August thread is just getting underway, so drop in and see what’s new, like this gorgeous new Part Time from BeginnerBagLove. LoveHeart also joined the party early with a show-stopping crocodile version of the classic City.

It really is the little things, isn’t it? In this case, the little thing is this adorable Balenciaga makeup bag that Dexter123 spotted and snapped up in a hurry. There is lots going ton in Balenciaga this week, so whether you want to browse bags, talk about service and workmanship, or see new styles, you’ll definitely be busy.

In Givenchy, Buttercup118’s reveal of this lovely oxblood Antigona topped the charts, with several members remarking on the color; looks like Buttercup is a fan and we hope to see another reveal in the future. Our Antigona discussion thread has everything you could possibly want to know about this popular bag, and if we missed something, all you need do is ask.

Tiny bags are everywhere, and our members are finding them fun, versatile and surprisingly useful. They’re also adorable, like this mini Pandora Box from amandacasey. We found another in Nashpoo’s Biggest Haul thread, which is definitely worth a look if you are a Givenchy fan.

Louis Vuitton is always a busy place, and our July 2017 purchases thread is already underway at a fast clip. Nicky75 chose this fabulous tote as her first LV purchase, and ash14vwb took some terrific glam shots of her new wallet, reminding us that good things really do come in small packages. We love the rose ballerine interior!

We love to hear good news about your post-purchase experiences, and this week, Fabuleax’s reveal comes with a great Louis Vuitton customer service story. Catch up and see the rest of the goodies right here.

LVLeo stopped us in our tracks with this shot of a pair of perfect LV summer selections. These are from the Tahitienne line, and you can find plenty of conversations about this fun collection in our Louis Vuitton subforum.

We found this pretty green tote in Coach, courtesy of Pursula, who immediately grabbed a heap of compliments on this happy shade for summer. This is Pursula’s first reveal, and we would love to extend a warm welcome and congratulations on a fun choice and a great new bag!

Smart shoppers, no matter what they are hunting for, know what patience is the name of the game when trying to score a special and rare item. Goofydes showed us all how to win at shopping when she scored this saddlebag from the genius Disney-Coach collaboration. These two powerhouses combined and added some design brilliance to the mix and came up with some wonderful pieces. Lucky Goofydes was thrilled to share her holy grail from the collection, and for good reason! Check out more in this thread.

We couldn’t resist taking a peek into the Chanel July purchases thread, just to make sure everyone was on track for a good summer. There are plenty of bags, and an interesting selection of brooches and jewelry. On top of that, we managed to absolutely fall in love with this spectacular card holder from Kc81287.

Since color is the theme, we thought we would share checkchecks new yellow flap from the same thread. This is a sweet color and a great bag, and if you are wanting to see more of our members’ newest Chanel purchases, visit fast and visit often!

Love this! Love_potion_9 calls this her “daily red” and we sure can see why. This is a perfect red to dress up any outfit, and of course the design is just perfection. Contratulations! Chanel is chock full of reveals of all sorts of goodies anytime day or night, as well as plenty of information about the secondary “pre-loved” market, so if you are eyeing Chanel, we have you covered!

Thank you for stopping by, friends! We hope you take the opportunity to continue to explore the PurseForum after you finish reading here, we barely scratch the surface and there is plenty going on no matter your taste or budget. We have plenty of non-bag places to visit, too. Members, you can join in our conversations about your Career and Workplace, Relationships and Family and more. Have a wonderful weekend, and be sure to visit us next week for more. Thank you to MahoganyQT and the Garden Photographs to Share thread for this week’s closing shot!
